Cowichan Golf & Country Club - Duncan

We booked online, $60 per person including cart. Hired clubs - good quality $23 pp.Staff friendly and helpful.Clubhouse and pro shop a bit dated.The course is in VGC and well worth a round. There are some hidden greens and inaccurate shots don't help your scores. The greens are difficult but reward thoughtful shots and are in peak condition.Definitely have a round here.Paul

Went with a group (about 30 people). The meal was a choice of beef burger, chicken breast, fries, Caesar salad, condiments etc.Cold plates, cold buns, cold chicken which had the texture of leather, the salad was sodden with dressing and soggy (just like canned spinach). Fries were good. I requested vinegar and the server was surly.Chocolate squares, buttertart triangles and carrot cake offered for dessert. Coffee was fine. I had a piece of carrot cake. It was dry, stale and inedible. I noticed many of the plates being collected by the staff had lots of food left on them.It was the same poor quality offered to this group a couple of years ago. I shall not be back.

This was our second year at Cowichan Golf & Country for our Christmas party. Both years we had attended the Chemainus theatre for their christmas meal and Cowichan Golf & Country Club far exceeded. All the items on the menu were prepared to perfection and totally delicious. People were raving about the Brussel Sprouts (go figure). The desserts were all prepared in house and tasted like what mom made. Definitely a great run kitchen. Looking to find the recipe for the yams to try myself.

We had the prime rib roast and Yorkshire pudding which was o special that night. A bit rarer than we asked but it was very good. Well priced, good service, great views, plenty of parking.

We stopped here for a late breakfast on the advice of a friend who lives in Cobble Hill and we were not disappointed. We had the eggs benny and it was great! Service was great, we were kept well supplied with coffee.
