The plate featured three small, though perfectly shaped and flavorful, patty-sized fritters, accompanied by half an avocado, a small dish of bruschetta mix, tomato relish, and some dressed rocket leaves. Upon revisiting the menu on their website, it appears that it was supposed to include bacon as well? Regardless, it's a lovely place for a brunch gathering, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Next time, I'll make sure to try the desserts!
Charming little coffee and breakfast spot located on the main street of Dulwich Hill. The decor is unique and well done. The coffee was great, and the service was outstanding.
My sister ordered a croissant sandwich filled with ham, which also looked fantastic. Overall, we had a wonderful late lunch. **Ambiance:** The atmosphere is pleasant and spacious, with plenty of tables available. The staff was very friendly, making us feel welcomed as soon as we walked in. **Food:** I thoroughly enjoyed my meal; there are several other items on the menu I’d like to try, and they also offer a selection of desserts. **Price:** The burger was $14.50, and I paid a little extra for the bacon and egg, which I felt was reasonable. In total, we spent $28, but it was definitely worth it, especially compared to other local options. The Stable has only been open for three weeks, and it seems to be thriving. It's great to see more places like this emerging; people really appreciate variety, and Dulwich Hill is slowly but surely becoming more vibrant. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving The Stable a try!
I walked in and was greeted by a lovely server who seated me at a table inside, which I requested because I preferred not to sit on a bar stool by the window. However, the manager instructed her not to seat an individual at a four-seat table. There were at least five empty four-seat tables inside and many more available outside, and it certainly wasn't a busy morning—only a tourist bus full of people would have filled the space. Frustrated, I canceled my order and left to enjoy my coffee and breakfast at one of the many busier cafes along the main strip. I will be advising anyone who asks for recommendations to try one of the alternative cafes along Marrickville Road and New Canterbury Road instead. I've lived in this area long before the cafe was even built, and I'm familiar with the community, which is great. Unfortunately, my experience at this cafe was disappointing. I suggest looking elsewhere to compare your experiences.
The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The coffee was perfect. I will definitely be returning. I absolutely loved this place!
