Sushi Misong - Duluth

Love their Bento lunch special. Very fresh sushi and maki rolls. Served with udon noodles and sometime with rice porridge.

I went to Mi song for lunch today with my friends and order Lunch special which Mi song advertised since yesterday. They told me , "Mi song Can 't offer that special because it 's not ready.. ??? False advertising, Unprofessional staff, and Fraud to customers !

Their hours on Google map stated they close at 11pm, called at 9:30pm and was told they close at 10pm. But still refused to take my order. The lady on the phone was not able to communicate in English, she was only able to repeat the same thing about opening and closing hours… Based on the great reviews they have, I wanted to try it but judging on my first experience like this, I don’t even think of coming back.

I was really looking forward to trying this sushi restaurant, but I came away very disappointed. We weren’t welcomed at all by the two rather unapproachable waitresses. After we placed our order, they brought out a variety of side dishes, but unfortunately, most of them were inedible. The rice porridge was served cold, and when we mentioned it, the waitress didn’t apologize; she simply said it was likely because they were close to closing time, despite it being only 1:30 PM and lunch was supposed to be available until 3:00 PM. Most concerning was the assorted sushi I ordered. Although it looked nice, the fish was clearly frozen and then thawed; it had a strong fishy smell, lacked flavor, and was quite chewy. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

The attentive staff quickly seated me and presented a menu filled with a wide selection of sushi and other Korean specialties. The highlight of my visit was, without a doubt, the sushi. Sushi Misong excels at creating beautiful and delectable Korean raw fish dishes. Each plate was beautifully presented, with vibrant colors and artistic arrangements. The fish and ingredients were fresh and of exceptional quality, leading to delicious and satisfying bites. The menu offered a great variety of sushi options that catered to both traditional and modern tastes. Whether you prefer classic favorites like California rolls and nigiri or more adventurous options with unique flavor combinations, there was something for everyone. Each roll was skillfully crafted, showcasing the sushi chef's expertise and attention to detail. In addition to sushi, Sushi Misong also featured a range of other Korean seafood dishes. The appetizers and entrees were just as impressive, with flavors that complemented the sushi offerings perfectly. The menu was thoughtfully designed to provide a well-rounded dining experience. The service at Sushi Misong was exceptional. The staff was knowledgeable, offering insightful recommendations and answering all my questions about the menu. They remained attentive throughout the meal, ensuring I had everything I needed for a delightful dining experience.
