Dreamland -b Que - Duluth

We had several servers, but ultimately, the lady who greeted us when we arrived was the one who took care of us. She promptly took our drink orders and we decided to start with fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. My wife ordered a two-meat combo featuring smoked chicken and sausage, with sides of Brunswick stew and mac and cheese. I opted for a boneless rib tips sandwich with fries. The fried green tomatoes were excellent, and the sauce they came with enhanced the flavor. The service was fast, and our food arrived hot and delicious. Our waitress consistently refilled our drinks and embodied great hospitality. The BBQ sauce served was vinegar-based; my wife wasn't accustomed to it, but our waitress suggested a different sauce for the rib tips, which she preferred. Overall, we enjoyed the food and service, and I would definitely recommend this location. Plus, it was during the Fall Festival, making it a great spot to park and relax while enjoying the festivities.

1. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone attended to us. 2. We ordered loaded fries as an appetizer along with our dinners, and I also asked for dessert to go, which they forgot to bring initially—I had to ask for it again. 3. Surprisingly, we received our dinners before our appetizer, and the way our server placed the plates down was quite off-putting. 4. All the food was served in plastic and Styrofoam containers with disposable silverware, which isn’t what I expected. 5. Although the waiter was nice, he didn’t make us feel particularly welcome. 6. I ordered pulled chicken but received chopped chicken instead, and it was very dry. 7. The baked beans were good, as was the BBQ sauce. I understand that being short-staffed can lead to longer wait times, and it might also mean fewer employees for washing dishes. However, I noticed that the place was almost empty, while Nacho Daddy across the walkway was packed. Sadly, I won't be returning here, as I really love BBQ.

The food was quite good; my family and I enjoyed our meal. To be fair, I only had the grilled cheese and fries, which I would rate a solid 4 out of 5. Besides that, the food was nicely presented. I also had some of my mom’s barbecue baked potato, and it was delightful. The service was pleasant, although it took a bit of time for them to ask us what we wanted to drink, but that's understandable given that there were 11 of us. I look forward to returning soon to explore more of the menu!

I finally returned to downtown Duluth and enjoyed a late lunch at Dreamland. The service was exceptional, and the two-meat platter came with more food than I could finish—it was very delicious. I have a couple of suggestions: 1) They should offer a BBQ sauce for those of us who prefer milder flavors. 2) Fried okra would be better as a side dish rather than an appetizer. Oh, and don’t forget to try their brown ale, which is brewed exclusively for Dreamland. It's quite tasty!

Incredible food! I can’t get enough of it, and there are so many options! The service is wonderful, the flavors are outstanding, and the atmosphere is lively and enjoyable. It’s absolutely worth going out of your way for a meal like this! The BBQ sauce is amazing, and I always make sure to take some home with me!
