Eat an elegant river of excellently prepared delectable bites. Wine pairing perfect. Price extremely reasonable. Didn't know that we will come Prix Fixe dinner, but loved it!!! Leave 2 1/2 hours. Despite the green curry too spicy for a tasting menu, the food was amazing. Various textures, aromas and colors. The three-hour dinner was a bit long, but we enjoyed every course. I highly recommend this place.
Background A Michelin Guide restaurant in the city that was highly recommended. It is a fusion of Irish and French cuisine. Ambience The hotel is located in the basement of a red brick terraced house. There were two doors, one for the entrance and the other for the exit that I obviously did not follow. The interior was charming. Service The host was nice and friendly. We were told and visited attentively. Food The food was great. I enjoyed the bread and lured to dessert. A must visit when you are in town.
Visited my husband's birthday this year and had a fantastic experience! The restaurant serves a tasting menu and also offers a wine tasting that we decided this time. Honestly, everything was fantastic. The food was delicious, the wine pairs were wonderful and well thought out and the staff was amazing! We had a wonderful experience. The menu changes regularly so that you want to have a different but still brilliant experience! I recommend the reservation in advance as the restaurant is not in style. The restaurant is perfect for a special occasion to treat yourself or as an excuse to get a little dressed with some friends! Very recommended!
Firstly, can I say that I really regret giving five stars in previous reviews as nothing I've ever eaten has compared to the food in Mr Fox. In fact, maybe Google might unlock a 6 star review option for special places. Mr Fox is certainly worthy of it. So to start, can I say that I hate fish. I've never liked it. Or so I thought. I had 3 courses of fish. It wasn't forced but I really wanted to broaden my mind and really enjoy the Mr Fox experience. Suffice to say that I can see fish dishes being a feature of future posts and reviews. From the moment we crossed the door until we climbed the stairs back up onto Parnell Square after our meal, the service was incredible. Not pushy or pretentious, just warm, friendly and attentive. The server spent plenty of time explaining the dishes that were coming. I honestly couldn't fault anything. I've never been to a Michelin Star restaurant but can see Mr Fox featuring in the very near future. Our visit was a very special occasion and Mr Fox made it all the more special. It'll take me a long time to forget that food!!
