Abc Donuts - Downey

I remember every Saturday morning I wake up and go straight to the kitchen to find a pink box of freshly made donuts that just wait to be eaten. Combine this with a cold glass of milk and your selection of Saturday morning cartoons and there was nowhere else I would rather. Although I never really had a favorite donut because they were all so damn tasty (and no, I'm not a fat guy who likes to eat everything, I usually went for those with chocolate, be it bread or freezing. Up to a few years back though(2006-7, there were no donuts because the store was closed to place for the “Big Guys” like Gamestop, Subway, and Starbucks(? I didn't even know what happened to the owner. Needless to say, Saturday morning simply not completely after. Now after a year or so(Early 2008, I was lucky enough to run in Sam (the owner and found out that his business was on and going elsewhere(The city of Downey under the name ABC Donuts(to clean up things, the store he worked before closing down was in the city of Norwalk . It was good to know that Sam's business still gets strong, and that his donuts are as good as ever. After some catch-ups, I said I'd look past his store, which unfortunately hasn't done yet! How can I even check a place where I was never physically? Well, everyone so often will stop Sam at my workplace (to get pints of fresh milk, chocolate milk, both directly from the Norwalk Dairy, and nondairy coffee creamer and give me a whole box of freshly made donuts, that's right, a whole box! You can no longer find this kind of kindness and generosity in many people, and I am always grateful that I receive the privilege of eating these donuts together with my family. Now I'm not cutting myself on Dunkin' Donuts or Krispy Kreme, but I made my choice. These donuts are a result of hard work and devotion. How hard is it to do donuts? I have no idea, but what I know is that Sam is starting at work at 4:00. I know that because I got it right from the source. So, if you live in the city of Downey or just over, stop the next time you are even remote in the mood for donuts, you will not regret it.
