Hotdog Johnnie's - Dewey Beach

These hot dogs are absolutely fantastic—5 out of 5 stars! The buns are the foundation of a great hot dog, and these are grilled to perfection, crispy on the outside while remaining soft and warm in the center. The hot dogs themselves are cooked to order on a flat top grill. Even the specialty dog is just $5 or less. We tried the Carolina Slaw Dog (with mustard, chili, and coleslaw) and the Chicago Style Dog (topped with sauerkraut, mustard, and pickle relish), both of which were incredible. The coleslaw was super fresh and the chili was delicious, making for a wonderful lunch at just $5. The fries were also excellent. Additionally, the restaurant and restrooms were spotless, and the owner is genuinely a nice person, which makes it an even better experience for both employees and customers. Overall, a remarkable place!

The employee we spoke to was very friendly and assisted us in choosing our meal by sharing the most popular items and explaining how the hot dogs were prepared. I ordered the Carolina Slaw Dog, and it was delicious—essentially a hot dog topped with coleslaw and chili. The water was complimentary, and the outdoor seating was lovely in the evening while we dined. We're definitely planning to return to try more hot dogs while we’re here!

I'm happy to see it return! They offer reasonably priced, big hot dogs. They also have hamburgers, which I haven't tried yet. The interior isn't very spacious, but you definitely won't regret a visit.

Good!! : Besides serving all beef hotdogs...everything was made immediately after ordering and the gentleman working behind the counter was fast, friendly and kept himself busy keeping up with cleanliness and stocking up condiments etc....Keep it up Hot Dog Johnnies, you're doing it all right
