Blue Moon Rehoboth - REHOBOTH BEACH

Still one of the best places to eat in Rehoboth Beach. Year after year they never disappoint. Love this place.

Blue Moon was amazing back in the day, so innovative and passionate about their mission. Now it feels more corporate. Food was very good, but not especially creative or extensive menu. Service was efficient but zero personality or pzzzaz by the hosts or wait staff. Profits and turnover of the table seemed to be the main agenda. I liked the food, but long for the good old days when it was about good food and great fun; where the owners and staff greeted us, joked with us, and were excited to see us.

Made reservation for an anniversary dinner ahead of time and a special request with the reservation. 4- days before, the restaurant called and offered a number of ideas for the special request. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated almost immediately. Jeremy was our server and was great! He kept our champagne glasses filled and kept things moving. The food was fantastic! Would highly recommend this for a small group or an intimate dinner for two. Look forward to the next time.

Although we have no complaints about the experience generally, I did reserve a specific table a month in advance for our birthday celebration and discovered upon arrival that the table I requested was occupied #35, I think). We were seated a table on the porch that was adequate but we were disappointed at the unexpected change and were offered no conciliatory gestures like a round of drinks or complimentary dessert. We were just expected to adjust without any attempt at compensation for a double-booking oversight/mistake.
