Alter Krug - Detmold

Etwas ausserhalb von Detmold befindet sich im Ortsteil Diestelbruch dieser einladende Landgasthof. Hier kann man gut und ehrlich essen. Auch der Biergarten ist einen Besuch wert! Habe zwischen 4-5 Punkten geschwankt. Es ist kein Gourmetrestaurant, aber sie finden hier eine leckere Küche vor!

Wir gehen regelmäßig mit unserer Familie hier essen, meistens wenn wir was zu feiern haben und uns was Gutes tun wollen. Besonders die Steaks sind hier immer sehr köstlich, aber auch Fisch kann man dort sehr gut essen. Die Größe der Portionen sind optimal und die Dekoration der Teller nicht zu übertrieben.Das gesamte Ambiente im Lokal und auf der Terasse ist sehr gemütlich und modern. Der alte Charme ist trotzdem aufrecht erhalten geblieben.Abgesehen davon sind Bedienung sowie die Besitzer immer freundlich.Der Alte Krug in Diestelbruch ist ein absoluter Geheimtipp!

It was so eye-catching menu on the list so that i finally decided to try this menu. I was kinda excited to taste and see how it looked like. The meat was so fine and soft and it tasted me like hungarian gulasch and suited to indonesian cuisine "rendang" but not really hot and without coconut milk. The noodle which is spätzle was really good cooked. I could eat it all till the last bite, i'm actually not a big fan of red cabbage but the red cabbage tastes different if you mix together. The cook has tried hard to make it warm so that we feel like being home and it was brought right from the kitchen.I tried the red wine conte di campiano primitivo di manduria from Italy which costed around €20 and was really good as the companion. The design of the restaurant is good, intimate, romantic candle light dinner. But i was a bit unhappy as we got there, there weren't so many people maybe because of the location. But if you want to try something "westfalen" this could be your choice in Detmold.
