Hickory House -b-que Shawn's Soda Shop

I have eaten there several times and each time was Wonderful! I would eat there more if I lived in Sherman/Denison. I only Wish they were open longer hours on Saturday. It's a Great Neat environment! I Love all the Kool sodas as well but I miss the old Fashioned Candy Shop though

First visit and Best BBQ brisket I have ever tasted. Great vibe, love the decor, and they were playing the Rolling Stones. What's not to love!

You want some real Texas style BBQ check this place out. family owned and operated forever it seems. Been eating there since 1978 and its the best around.

My favorite Texas BBQ spot north of the Pineywoods! The food is absolutely delicious! My top picks are the brisket and the potato salad with hot sauce. Whenever someone asks for a good BBQ place, I always recommend Hickory House in Denison. The soda shop is also fantastic, offering a selection of hard-to-find drinks that you can't get anywhere else in the area. We keep trying to discover our favorite root beers, but every time we go back, there's at least one new variety available! The assortment of six-packs also makes for great gifts.
