Ocean Restaurant - DENHAM

A different more personal experience than the usual aquarium presentation. Very informative guide information. Direct feeding of a range of sea animals including a wide variety of sharks. Highly recommended

Lots of the reviews are positive about the food, not many mentioning the extortionate cost of kids to get a tour. Adults nearly $30 and kids $20. Fish were so full by the late afternoon, they weren’t interested in any more food. The tours run constantly. One ends another starts. A few glass tanks, a few round pools with a rock in the middle and two ponds. They had a 2.2m tiger in one of the ponds until last year, how the dept of fisheries thought that was ok is beyond me. Tour guide advised that none of the marine life are rescues. They have all been taken from the ocean. Kids were bored. Waste of money, no interaction at all. They just wanted to sell you the shark dive and other bolt ons. Didn’t eat. It took near on 15 minutes for them to serve two customers purchasing gifts from the shop. View from the cafe was nice. Good spot for coffee. (Don’t bother with the tour).

We lunched first before viewing the aquarium. The squid was the best we ate during the 2 weeks we were in WA. The service was friendly and efficient and the view from the veranda very pleasant. We then did the tour around the aquarium with a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. There was a huge variety of fishes and other creatures kept in large spotless tanks. We weren’t rushed from tank to tank and children were able to participate in feeding some. One of the highlights for me was Max the spitting fish. Once the tour was over you were free to wander a little longer looking at the creatures. I inadvertently dropped my sunglasses into the shark tank but was able to replace them in the site shop. All in all well worth a visit

Unique experience to learn about and see our amazing ocean life. Our tour guide was very informative but sometimes hard to hear due to the size of our group. Loved the opportunity to observe creatures we had not seen before.

We shared the Ocean Park Platter which was exceeded all expectations. This is not your standard platter. All components were tasty and complimented each other.Easily summed up as great food, great setting and very good value.
