I went early on a Sunday night and the customers were a mixture of Asian and European, which is a good sign, also they were doing a brisk takeaway business. The location is on the intersection of Howard St and Avon Rd which puts it almost exactly between Pittwater Rd and the beach. The area is nearly all apartments, many of which offer no visible off-street parking so finding a parking spot near the restaurant could be difficult. If you can't then try the Howard St. public parking lot roughly 200M west between Howard St and Oaks Ave, otherwise there is a lot of parking at the north end of the beach although that would be roughly 350M away. This is about as close as you can get to the centre of Dee Why so its walkable from practically everywhere.I ordered a Massaman Beef Curry with rice which took about 20 minutes as they were busy. It was traditional Thai but quite different to the same dish served locally in other Thai restaurants. The beef was in three big cubes at least 50g each, but cooked well enough to separate easily with a fork. There were potatoes and the traditional coconut sauce with the meat. It was very good but next time I will order something I can get with hotter spices as the waitress advised me this curry is normally not spicy. The menu said $17.90 but they charged me $15.90 for the curry and $2 for the rice which came to the menu price, plus $2 for use of a wine glass ("corkage"), so I had a filling meal for just under $20 and I plan to go back.
Thai food in Sydney, especially the northern beaches, can leave a lot to be desired - especially if you want authentic dishes with real spice. While this place is not quite at the level of Chat Thai or Spice I Am - it is very good compared to anything else on the beaches - and the for the price you pay it is excellent value. The larb gai was great - very spicy as requested. Pad Cha stir fry was really good - as were the Pas See Ew noodles.I'll be back!
We have been going there since they opened and the food is excellent. Service always perfect and being family owned and run means you get well looked after. The whole fish in the Thai sauce is delicious as are the entrees.
As the food along the beach front of Dee Why serve poor to avarage quality food so I picked this rather new restaurant out of the tourist track for lunch . Food was good with fresh quality ingredients and service excellent . Prices are mid range and they serve a 10 $ lunch .
This is a great little Thai restaurant. You can get take away or eat in. The service is lovely and the food is fast and very yummy! I had the satay chicken sticks and the chill pork and it was delicious.
