Longhorn Steakhouse - Decatur

This restaurant has a really nice ambiance and a lovely atmosphere. However, the service left much to be desired. When we arrived, no one was at the front desk, and we had to wait about five minutes to be seated. Once we were at our table, we noticed there were no clean plates or cups available. We then waited nearly an hour for our food to arrive! The bread they provided was disappointing; it was cold and tasted quite bland, almost like an ice cube. Overall, this place isn't the best, but it's decent.

We had an excellent server named Nanette (sp)! It was a really busy night, but she handled everything perfectly. The food was delicious, as always. I ordered the salmon, and my mom had the sirloin. We were too full for dessert! Working in the service industry is challenging, and I did it for several years myself. Especially during this time of year, I hope everyone remembers how tough this job can be and treats their servers well. You never know what someone might be going through in their life.

We don’t go out often, so we chose this restaurant for our anniversary. I’ve always enjoyed Longhorn, but after our recent visit, I’m uncertain if we’ll return. My meal wasn’t prepared correctly, and while I waited for my order, my husband’s food got cold. They did resolve the issue with my steak, but by that point, the evening had lost its special charm. They knew it was our anniversary, yet it felt like they didn’t care.

A decent steakhouse with a range of solid apps, salads, steaks, and drinks. Good for a casual kickback type of evening where you want a steak.

Best Longhorn Steakhouse experience in a long time! I take clients to LongHorn often as they’re always reliably delicious and high end. Today was the first time I’ve had the white cheddar mushrooms and I will never not order them. They’re amazing. I got the salmon but ordered it blackened and it was the best salmon I’ve had in so long. Truly a great dining experience. Our waitress, Amy, was excellent. She was kind, professional, and welcoming. Kudos to her!
