Red Rooster - DARWIN CITY

It's closed down. Need to find another place to eat. These a store at Casarina Shopping centre which is a short bus trip away if you really want Red Rooster.

Autumn in Darwin is like summer in many other parts of Australia, so finding this cool 'oasis' of fine food, and great wine was fabulous to while away a couple of hours. Service efficient and friendly and food arrived in good time.

Food is your basic Red Rooster food, however on entering another customer entered and begged for $1 for "a burger". The very young man behind the counter was particularly nervous, and we were not sure what to do, so gave him some money. Not sure if this is a spot where people are on the lookout for tourists to beg for money, or we were just unlucky. Thought I would review just to make people aware.

Timely service, fresh food, central convenient location. Would recommend for a quick snack, particularly if you are taking the food away. The facilities to eat in are limited.

The staff here seem to have no idea. When going through drive through if you ask a question ie can I have a wing section, it causes all havoc as they are not used to it and they just don't seem to understand.The kids inside are standing around and when ordering seem to look at you with blank looks on there faces. The food however is always good.The experience is terrible.Need a real lift.
