Lizards Bar & Restaurant - DARWIN CITY

We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and a cheese platter, with crackers and bread, for two when we called in for lunch.The cheese consisted of two quarter rounds of Brie/Camembert cut in two and five half slices of packaged Cheddar cheese. They had crackers and rubbery dried apple, but forgot the bread.In their defence, when we mentioned the missing bread they provided us more crackers and some nice toasted Turkish bread. They also apologised and offered complimentary wines.It is a modern and spacious restaurant.

I visited Lizards Bar for the first time recently and was utterly horrified to witness a staff member's racism toward Aboriginal patrons. The wanton disregard and disrespect was disgusting and deeply offensive to me and my friends and colleagues. A complaint was lodged without a response (yet). I will never visit this place again and will encourage everyone I know, locally, interstate and internationally, to follow suit. The Lizards Bar needs to ensure its staff understand their anti-discrimination legislative responsibilities as well as receive cultural awareness training to ensure this situation never reoccurs.

Located on Mitchell St, a reasonable option for a meal and a cold drink.Staff are friendly and prices are ok.Typically full of fly in, fly out workers which makes it busy at times.Big screens available for sports fanatics.

Went with a group of four to re visit a much loved Darwin memory. Lack of basic hospitality manners, meals were brought out at different times and plates were cleared whilst we were still eating. Was not made aware that two dishes were not available until after starters. On top of this staff were setting up for the hotel guests breakfast all around us whilst dinner guests were still eating in the restaurant. We were made to feel rushed and unwelcome. Disappointing visit. Would not recommend.
