The Art Lounge - Darlinghurst

We had a very enjoyable evening at this restaurant. The service and food were excellent. We ordered a special deal and were served differently than the other couples with the same deal. Unfortunately, the meatballs were not available, but the staff apologized and offered a substitute dish. Although I would have liked to try the meatballs, I appreciated the gesture. I love cooking, so trying new dishes is always a treat for me. The staff was very attentive and helpful, making our experience at the restaurant truly wonderful.

This was a thirtieth birthday party with over twenty guests in attendance. We ordered a tasting plate for the entree followed by a choice of mains. The food was plentiful and delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic with a real rustic feel. Despite the large group, the service was prompt and the drinks flowed. The birthday cake was well presented and the staff made sure everyone was taken care of. The only issue was the parking, but that is a common problem in Darlinghurst!

My experience at the Art Lounge on a busy Friday night in Kings Cross was a pleasant surprise. We were looking for a place to enjoy a good steak without a reservation, and the well-dressed French owner graciously found us a table. The menu was simple but enticing, and we decided to start with cocktails and appetizers before ordering the fillet steak for two. The atmosphere was lovely, with live music adding to the ambiance. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. We were offered dessert and coffee, but declined. The bill was reasonable, and the overall experience was unforgettable. The owner even encouraged us to return, which we definitely plan to do.

This was a thirtieth birthday celebration and there were more than twenty people invited. We ordered a tasting plate entree for everyone followed by a choice of main. Helpings were plentiful and the food tasty. The atmosphere is great and there was a real buzz....In spite of the large number being served the food came quickly as did the drinks. The birthday cake was well managed and management and staff made sure everyone was taken care of. The only issue is the parking but that is always going to be an issue in Darlinghurst!
