Nom - Darlinghurst

We have travelled regularly to Japan and are always overwhelmed with the deliciously authentic food that is served time after time when we visit Nom. This is supported by the consistent patronage of Japanese nationals living in Sydney who choose to frequent this Gem of a restaurant. It's difficult to get in here, so I shouldn't encourage you, but I'd be rude not to call out how amazing this place is..!! Everything is cooked on premises with love, so come here prepared to have your tastebuds transported to Tokyo. The best dishes, though hard to isolate are the Japanese omelette, chicken karaage and of course the apple pie in my humble opinion :-).

Absolutely impressed with this little gem. We travelled to Japan in 2015 and it felt like being back there the moment we walked in. A small and cosy atmosphere. Great food, an outstanding sake selection and super friendly staff. Would recommend heading here for home style traditional Japanese cooking.

I had dinner here with a friend and my young daughter. Two of us were vegetarian, so we asked for a selection of vegetarian dishes. We were pleased with what was provided. The serves are small but reasonably priced. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy.

This is a Japanese Home Cooking Style restaurant.Great food in the Japanese tradition cooked by a lady and her mom.The dishes are not large (only for sharing with 2) but full of flavor. Some dishes I didn't like but that's not to the way it was cooked, more due to the ingredients which were too challenging for me. Don't let that scare you. Just try it. It's amazing.

Quaint and quirky this place was amazing. Walk through the door and you are transported into Japanese heaven. This is not high end dining - it has so much more personality to it than that. We werent sure about what sake we would like - no problem they narrow it down (hot or cold, sweet or dry) and then you taste test until you find one you like. The food was so yummy. Not fancy, just honest to goodness yumminess. Highlight was the beef wrapped asparagus, sashimi and kadage chicken.
