He got one of their 99% dark chocolate & was so impressed, he dragged us all there after lunch. I wasn't much of a fan of the 99% dark (not much of taste initially, then the bitterness hits & a tangy after taste), but glad I went to the shop & tried out some of their other offers. Impressive spread of trays of varieties of chocolates. Their milk chocolate was smooth & creamy, very difficult to stop at just one!
Stopped here during Easter and discovered a treasure trove of delightful treats, which I can see myself working through this year. The main counter has an array of individual chocolates while the wall has a wide selection of packaged goodies. I was more attracted to the glass cabinet of delicious looking cakes, opting for a very filling peach and cream sponge. Beautiful decor and family run. Funny location next to a gay sex club.
After the lunch nearby I noticed a new chocolate shop I hadn't seen before so I had to stop by. I ordered a latte and a piece of handmade chocolate - champagne and strawberry jewel. I am not a huge chocolate fan so I just bought one for tasting. It was nice; it was not overly sweet and good. When I got the latte, my first thought was; this looks really strong... And I didn't think it was going to be good to be honest. But I was thoroughly surprised with the taste of the coffee. I think the bean is fantastic, it was not little bit acidic at all but smooth and beautiful. Yes it was very strong, I was totally awake and pumped after the coffee. I believe they have their own blends and the beans called Leftfield Coffee. Really interesting little chocolate store, I would definitely come back to buy some gift chocolates from here, and come back for coffee! goodtasteguide.blogspot.com
My husband and I stopped here for an afternoon pick me up as I heard they had a delicious range of cakes (all made in store) and chocolates. The owners were very friendly and we tried their hot chocolate ($5) and took away some chocolates. Chocolates from Zokoko are expensive but very good as well as their handmade ones. Their hot chocolate wasn't bad but not the best we have tried. I like that's it's dark chocolate and you can get other flavours like rose which I might try next time.
Came here last Friday and I was lucky to have the place to myself. Miga went through all the delicious choices and I found it hard to choose a few. I went with the dark choc key lime and chili bar, Hawaiian black salt and hazelnut milk choc bar, sour cherry pistachio nought (so good!) and a mix of truffles. The Bolivian dark chocolate truffle with cocoa nibs is great for any dark choc lovers. Slightly acidic and fruity not bitter. Definitely the friendliest chocolate shop in sydney! I love that you can sit down and have a delicious hot chocolate a cold night.
