Skippers' Fish Camp - Darien

I always make it a priority to visit Skippers whenever I'm in the area, and I highly recommend it. However, today I feel compelled to share my dining experience...

The food was excellent! We ordered fried shrimp and intended to get conch, but instead received grouper fingers. The service was good, although there was a bit of a wait due to a line. I would highly recommend this place!

The crab stew was the best crab soup I've ever tasted. It has a creamy base, similar to a chowder, and it's absolutely incredible! The oysters were fresh and delightful. My server was really friendly and attentive, and my food arrived quickly. However, don't trust the "not too busy" estimate on Google Maps for this restaurant. It indicated there would be no wait, but when I arrived at 5:30, it was packed, and I had to wait 40 minutes. Fortunately, I enjoyed watching the alligators, turtles, and boats on the river while I waited, and the food was definitely worth it.

The restaurant offers a great variety of fresh seafood. The oysters were delicious and prepared in several different styles. The scallops wrapped in prosciutto were delightful. A big thank you to Rex for the excellent service. This is a fantastic spot to enjoy a drink and catch the sunset!
