The Blacksmith's Forge - Dalkeith

The service was very disappointing. My breakfast was cold, and the self-service coffee and tea situation wasn't clearly explained—there were no directions on where to go for refills. I won't be coming back.

The staff here are wonderful, the place is spotless, and they are taking numerous steps to ensure customer safety during this challenging time.

I found a fingernail in my drink, and when I complained, all I received was an apology. This is one of the worst Wetherspoons in the UK. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

This is a very comfortable and well-run Wetherspoons pub. The staff works hard to keep the place clean and inviting. Everyone is friendly, making for a very pleasant visit. The interior is spacious and comfortable, and there are great deals on food and drinks. There is also a small outdoor seating area in a sunny courtyard at the front. This is the best-managed Wetherspoons I have experienced in years.

You can see why other pubs might be worried about the opening of Wetherspoon. The prices and the setup are just right. I had an American breakfast, which I hadn’t enjoyed in ages—since pancakes were popular! It was excellent, and the coffee was good too. I should also mention the fantastic selection of real ales and gins. I can definitely say that I'll be returning!
