They are always super friendly. I’ve never had an issue here before. One of the most awesome things is that this Panera has a drive through! Makes life so much easier!
Panera Bread in Culpeper is a nice quiet clean friendly place to enjoy a delicious breakfast like their sausage egg and cheese on everything bagel .
I ordered a bowl of soup to go 1 hour before closing and received an extremely small piece of bread and was told they were out of plastic spoons.
Four of us, new to Panera, ate a late lunch there today. May I say that the pick two pricing on the menu board is presented in a visually confusing way, and certainly was not readily apparent to us. While we were ordering, three of the four of us asked for explanations of the charges for what we had chosen. Our clerk's replies were brusque from the start, and she seemed to get more and more annoyed. A polite alternative would have been to explain the pricing structure and explain where on the menu board the pick two pricing was to be found. We would have welcomed that explanation, and it would have saved time in the long run. Instead, she insisted with an increasingly dismissive demeanor that such-and-such cost so-and-so and that was what we had been charged. Some of us felt rushed and pressured. Immediately after we rang up, while I was still standing right in front of her, she apologized loudly to the party behind us for having to wait so long Had she done us the courtesy of explaining the pricing--three separate times I said things like I'm sorry, I'm just not understanding the pricing our order would certainly have taken less time. To say the least, we did not feel welcome. Maybe she was having a bad day, so I don't think it's right to post her name, but we will not return to this Panera if we see her behind the counter. The dining environment was quiet and pleasant, although many of the bench seats were ripped. For the most part, we enjoyed the food. The turkey chili is moderately spicy, so that's something to be aware of. It is also heavy on the chickpeas, and made with carrots and corn. Not my kind of thing, but it was well made. The Green Goddess Cobb salad was absolutely delicious. Others at our table gave high marks to the macaroni and cheese.
