I have been 3 times with my Neighbour and partner, 2 times we have sat down to eat and the staff are rude and abrupt. The food was VERY ordinary....substandard for any Malaysian cuisine. As a Malaysian myself I asked for the beef Murtabak for takeaway last night. I asked for extra beef (which my mum can do), but he said it won't fit. So I just ordered the normal. After doing shopping, lugging all that home by foot, I opened this so called "Murtabak" and it was paper thin! Like all it had was a tiny smear of beef and no egg, cabbage or onions that it advertises! Even my Anglo Saxon partner agreed with me that it was just pastry! So I had to walk back all the way to show them that I know they are cutting corners and know I'm not one to just "eat it" and not complain. I'm sure the other stores serve much better quality, but if you are in Crows Nest and you try cut corners, you will be gone pretty soon! Just giving your manager feedback as the staff and chefs are rubbish! Save yourself bankruptcy and recruit people that can actually cook and serve customers what is TRUELY Malaysian cuisine. In Crows Nest, we don't mind paying a premium if the food is GOOD! If it is ****, which it is, then you will be gone!

We had the Nasi Lemak and kway teow. The sambal chilli in the nasi was on point and chicken curry was delicious. The kway teow was less oily than a traditional kway teow and Mamak was flexible changed the prawns to fish cakes for us. Service was attentive. 7.5/10 - would go again for a casual, good Malaysian feed.
This was a food stall at the Night Noodle Markets. I wanted to try something sweet and refreshing so went to try the Cendol. It is an Asian layered dessert. It has coconut milk, green jelly noodles, red beans, and was topped off with shaved ice with a palm sugar syrup. The top was quite sweet with the ice and syrup but once you got past that it went more down the savoury path as it wasn't too sweet with the milk and jelly. Service was lovely.
