El Sol Mexican Restaurant - Cronulla

I attended a Christmas party for a large group at this restaurant, which cost $25 per person. We were only given one free drink and the food was served slowly in small portions. Personally, I am not a fan of Mexican cuisine, but I found the food to be terrible. The venue seemed to cater mostly to a young, affluent crowd. It was uncomfortably hot inside with no air conditioning. This will be my first and last visit to this restaurant.

For date night we tried this Mexican for the first time. The food was good but we’ve definitely had better mexican. Dos señoritas is our favourite so far in Sydney. The place was very large and not too many people for a Saturday night. I was a little cold. The staff were very nice and looked after us very well. Probably will try other places in cronulla rather than running back.

We live in the area.... been going to El Sol for almost 18 yrs.. been a few changes of owners but tonight the food was almost in-editable. Ordered the basics..beef fajitas burrito. Tasteless! Got rice on the side (which we used to love) was boiled white rice not the normal Mexican tomatoes seasoned rice. We pointed out that food was not up to scratch.. I only ate a few bites of my burrito...all we got was sorry luv. Waste of $70 ...won't be going back!

Don't bother going there for good food! It was help yourself tacos served in plastic buckets and metal containers. No sauces or salsa. Just mass produced rubbish. Where was the advertised vegetarian dish? The minced meat was greasy and tasteless. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There was no service. I left a tip to make sure i didnt have to wait for change. Disgusting food.
