Great wine list - shame the rest didn't quite meet expectations We were really hopeful that this was going to prove to be a great experience, but
Great new restaurant in Cremorne & now quite possibly the best restaurant in Cremorne.
Whether the varied wine list, the excellent food options, the genuine warmth from the staff, the bar out the front or the lovely dining space inside, Barrel has something for everyone. It's one of our many options locally, and one we frequent.
I’ve been driving past the Barrel Bar Dining for years, each time thinking that I should try it. It’s Saturday night and our favourite restaurant is booked out, grand opportunity to finally try. My wife and I are lucky, Barrel Bar Dining are...also booked out, yet we can sit in the bar and dine. Warm greeting at the door and a warm ambience inside makes a great start from the chilly night outside. Menu is a shared plated format. A wide selection of dishes and what’s more a great selection of vegetarian. The sweet sour cauliflower with tomato coulis, labna grapes was a revelation and my vegetarian wife was over the moon! Pumpkin Three cheese arancinis were of the same standard. Years ago I experienced one of the best risottos I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant called Verona in Paddington, a blue swimmer crab braised leek vialone nano risotto. Well, I must say, their Yamba prawn, asparagus, toasted almond bisque risotto is certainly up there as one of the best. I will return many times just to eat this one dish! Desserts, albeit two only, are made with love. An eclectic wine list that in most part is well priced, a great front of house team and ambience makes this a definite place to visit.
