The roast beef and gravy was so melt in your mouth good with that debris gravy giving it that special flavor. My wife and I split it and even though we were almost full we had to get dessert. Our dessert of choice was another poor boy of oyster and shrimp, lol. That remoulade was fantastic but the shrimp creole sauce was so amazing that it would taste good on ANYTHING !!! We went back again the next day to do it again but this time we got the roast beef and gravy with a side of there chicken and sausage jambalaya. It was equally amazing ! For dessert this time we got the poor boy vanilla ice cream sandwich. We would so order that again. Another thing about this place that made it special was the people working there. There jobs are not easy but they ALL had a smile on there face. They all said hello and were some of the nicest people we have ever met in our travels to New Orleans. Eric was our server both days along with being the bartender. My wife and I really enjoyed talking to him about the food there and some of the history of the place. He is not only one of the nicest people we met in New Orleans but is an asset to this establishment and we hope to see him the next time we are in town. Red was there the first day we ate there and she was such a happy person. Xavier was also another staff member who said hello and ask if we needed anything else. Last but certainly not least was Justin the general manager. He took the time to stop by our table both days we were there. The last day we ate there he took the time to show and tell us the history of the establishment. All the pictures, changes and history of the place was AMAZING. My wife and I will never forget the tour and kindness showed to us. We will certainly stop by and eat there again when we are in town. I almost forgot to mention Sal the parking lot maître d'. He was super nice and you can tell he really enjoys his job.
Seriously, this is the BEST roast beef sandwich/Poboy I have ever had! Living in NY/NJ area, I am very spoiled by countless delicious deli sandwiches/bagels, but I have to admit Parkway’s fully loaded roast beef Poboy is second to none, and not even the good Philly cheesesteak stands a chance to win in my foodies ranking. I am extremely surprised how roast beef is cooked so well: not overdone and not super salty, which has made it the top of my list( sorry for Philly cheesesteaks….all the top rated ones are still too salty for me). The generosity of the restaurant has made it even amazing: small beef Poboy sells for $12, and I can’t even pick up the whole things completely before eating half of the beef with fork and knife! The fact they serve with Crystal tells this place is 100% authentic and local. When I am in Nola I will absolutely revisit again.
What do you do after a big @titans win in #NOLA? Enjoy the local fare you say? How about the best shrimp po-boy in all of New Orleans! @parkwaypoorboys is absolutely amazing! Do not miss this place on your next adventure! @hardesteezyeats #nolaeats #titanup
My favorite poboy shop. Love the fried potato poboy! Place your order online and pick up at the window for faster service!
Delicious po' boys and super generous portions! We were visiting from out of town and are so glad we stopped by here for lunch. Rachelle (Red) was so friendly and attentive! Bread was so incredibly fresh. We definitely would love to come by again next time we are in NOLA! Thanks for the authentic experience!
