Fugato - Coral Gables

What a hidden gem. My wife and I didn’t plan to even come here. It was fate and food gods lol. Service, food was excellent. I definitely recommend if you are in the coral gables area or not you gotta come here. Amazing!

Small but quality restaurant. Went on a quiet Thursday evening. Service was fantastic and the food was exquisite. The server was knowledgeable and offered suggestions tailored to myself and my fiancee's preferences. The ambience is romantic and elegant and the menu offers unique fusions using quality ingredients. Highly recommend checking this spot out.

Went to Fugato last night with my husband. It was part of an early Christmas gift for him and we had both never been there before. We were greeted warmly and the rest of our time went smoothly, in addition to having a delicious meal. My husband ordered the fresh fish special, a snapper Francese with a side of linguine in an Alfredo sauce. I had the lobster ravioli. Both were perfect. Their house bread is served perfectly hot and delicious and their homemade tiramisu did not disappoint. Only thing about the dessert was that it was not big enough to share, it seems to be an individual portion, but it was very good. We felt the staff was very attentive. The final compliment goes to the Cafe Bonbon, OMG! I sipped a little out of curiosity and it was delish. My husband smiled until his cup was empty. We will go back.

About 25 years ago, there used to be a nightclub not too far from Fugato called Alcazaba's. It was for the young and trendy crowd prior to Yelp, Twitter and life as we know it. But this review is not about Alcazaba's. Fugato is a very cozy yet unpretentious Italian fusion restaurant. My family and I came here tonight to try out the appetizers. We had the salmon tiradito, lentil soup, beef carpaccio, fried calamari and the tostones with short ribs. The portions were reasonable and my family enjoyed them. The service was very good. We would recommend this place if you happen to be in the Coral Gables area.
