Cebada Rooftop - Coral Gables

This restaurant can be a bit difficult to locate, as it's situated on the second floor of an office building with a nondescript entrance on the new pedestrian-friendly Giralda Avenue in Coral Gables. It's a relaxed yet sophisticated rooftop venue that specializes in creative tapas and cocktails. While there aren't many vegan options available, my wife thoroughly enjoyed the raw shrimp ceviche and the delicious patatas bravas, along with the spicy pineapple margaritas, which were a hit as well. The service was exceptional; Joshlyn was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food and drinks. I even assumed he was the owner because the service was so outstanding. I highly recommend asking for him when you visit. It's a fantastic spot for a date night!

The hype surrounding the rooftop (which is just a one-story building) is insignificant since the views are quite limited. While the location is decent, the subpar drinks don’t justify being here. And as for kid-friendliness, it’s not! They turned away a family with a small child right before us, then immediately seated my group of adults.

Food was superb, staff was wonderfully friendly, helpful at picking the best place to even sit knowledgeable about the menu — they collectively understand the meaning of hospitality (which I feel like is less and less common), scene/atmosphere is elevated but not stuffy. Relaxed and fun, delicious and sophisticated, top-notch playlist all evening a cute little view. Dietary restrictions: Kindly modified food requests based on restriction/preference.
