The tangsuyook dish initially appeared to be generous, but it was mostly batter with not enough meat. The sweet and sour sauce was satisfactory. The seafood jjajang dish was decent, but it lacked noodles compared to the other ingredients. The same issue was present in the beef jjampong dish, which had too much onion and not enough noodles. The broth was okay, but it lacked depth and spice. My main criticism was the large pieces of tangsuyook that were mostly batter. Slowly, this restaurant is losing my interest. I would prefer to drive to Ruran in PoCo, or Chuihong or Taeyanggak in Surrey instead.
This was our second time ordering takeout from this restaurant. The first time, we had sweet and sour fried pork with seafood and black bean noodles. The dishes were satisfying enough, but we have had better elsewhere. This time, we decided to try the spicy fried chicken combo. The chicken had a thick and crispy exterior that we enjoyed, similar to chicken gangjung. However, the noodles left something to be desired. Both the broth of the spicy seafood noodle and the sauce of the black bean noodle lacked depth. On the positive side, the restaurant is only a 2-minute walk from our location. Overall, we would give it 3 solid stars.
