Oh what an awesome, overlooked place! No one's there when I come in, and they're really missing out on all this amazing food (and lovely Balkan atmosphere)! Tell everyone you know. So far, everything I've had on the menu is delicious. It's an especially lovely place for comfort food during the cold, rainy winter season.

What a cozy and friendly spot in Coquitlam to discover some Balkan/Eastern European eats! I would have not discovered this place without the lovely surprise dinner planned by one of my besties. If you haven't tried Balkan cuisine before Ethno Restaurant Vayat is worth a visit to immerse yourself in some authentic dishes! And if you are a meat lover even better! They have plenty of options and portions are generous! We ordered the Vayat Meat Platter Chicken Schnitzel in Gorgonzola Sauce. The platter has an assortment of meat -about 5 different types of meat. Platter for 1 was plenty share for two people. And that sauce in the schnitzel was soo creamy and rich. Any leftover sauce is perfect for dipping your fries/bread and you won't be able to help stop scraping every last bit of it off your plate to enjoy!

Went with family. Owners are very nice! Had a platter and it was delicious and perfect. The vibes are immaculate. Don’t walk, run! Come try this place out for authentic Balkan dishes!

Took my sister here for her birthday dinner and had a wonderful evening!The ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic. Cozy decor that makes you feel like you are dining in a friends home. We ordered the Vayat Platter and it was absolutely perfect. The service is warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome and well taken care of.I will definitely be returning this restaurant in the future for a date night or other special occasion.
