Moving from their long-known home to an entirely new place, Samios is still very busy and supplies shoppers with a cornucopia worth of Meditteranean products and brands. This wholesale store is worthy of a review for its groceries alone, and any ardent fan of Greek cuisine owes it to themselves to seek it out. I am not sure if it was there beforehand, but upon a shopping trip with my brother-in-law he saw a sign for their iced coffees and felt inclined to try one out (and I find it hard to say no to trying new coffee). Amiable service and a fresh perspective to food create a really good place worth visiting. You have to go all the way to the back to find the coffee, asking at the deli counter that has the olives et al which also sells some great Greek sweets. While he was off getting the items on the shopping list (I was originally doing that, but was a bit slow for him). I got both a katafi and a baklava to share between the two of us. Both of these sweets were heavenly in flavour and texture. With liberal amounts of honey covering them and a nutty consistency, these sweets might not be for all tastes but there is just something about them that is briiliant. The iced coffee I got was with ice cream and this was wonderful and amazing value for $4. They must have made a really strong shot as it had oomph from the first sip and it is like that contrasting yet complimenting treat to find the creamy ice-cream on the bottom. If there was not enough reasons for me to like this wholesale store, another one has just joined the list.
