Deluca's Pizza - COOKS HILL

We went with high expectations after recommendations from friends. Friday night busy so very "intimate" with fellow diners to say the least, but to be expected. Toilets a couple of doors up the road down a dark laneway, the food only just above average but the staff very friendly as was our cockroach.

As always a wonderful experience! Although the restaurant was busy, the staff were friendly and helpful. The vibe is always chill and the food is always of a high quality with the classic Gorgonzola gnocchi a mouth watering and delicious option. Having travelled through Italy and being of an Italian heritage myself, I can definitely recommend Deluccas as one of the best places to visit for authentic Italian cuisine in Newcastle!

This is much more than pizzas on the menu. Whilst they looked great, we all ate something else.The entree's were really tasty - we had the figs which were just superb, we also had the squid - which was very plentiful. I can't remember the others, however we were impressed.The mains were all very tasty - in fact quite delicious. Well presented and well-made. Nice size meals - not too big - just a nice balance. The wait staff were on the ball, friendly with excellent product knowledge. The owner came around and made us all feel at home. We had a table at the front with a big open window. For summer dinner is was very cosmopolitan with people walking by. Lovely vibe in the place. We'll be back.

As always the food was excellent and sitting by the large open window on a balmy evening with friends made this a special night.

Great atmosphere , good food, wine was good as well, excellent value. Staff was friendly and helpful .
