Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe decided to have a break away from Sydney so I booked the hotel as its right on the harbour with direct access to the boardwalk. The room was a harbour view suite the view wasn't as good as expected as we were on the first floor. The room it self was quite nice and well equipped with 2 tvs good bed etc. The parking is a bit of an issue as self parking is made difficult as you need to have a staff member go with you every time when you want to park so the only viable option is valet parking at $29.00 per day. The onsite restaurant is quite reasonable for an evening meal (but there are also a lot of other restaurants nearby) the restaurant is also where you have breakfast which is very pleasant with a good range of food options. All in all it's very pleasant hotel.
Sewage gas odor from the floor drain in the bathroom took two calls/ visits to address. It 's a bit old and seems to he holding on to a star rating earned long ago, but it doesn 't compare to others of the same rating, nearby. 3 1/2 star hotel at absolute best. The breakfast was unimpressive . Runny eggs and a serve yourself style. Meals were average and failed in comparison to many local establishments that are in short walking distance. Room was very dusty. I could write my name on my suitcase after day three. Carpet was worn out and stained. TV was sketchy and needed to be fixed twice, during my stay. WiFi was capped at 1mb/sec, so downloading files for work had to he done off site at a nearby coffee house. Access to the Forum gym was a nice emenity, but I 'd rather have had an in house facility for convenience. With exception to one staff member, all have been kind and cordial.
Stayed at the Crowne Plaza for two weeks during a business trip to Newcastle. The staff at this hotel are fantastic, and make you feel very welcome when you're a member of their IHG rewards club. I also would like to make a special mention to the Seasalt Restaurant which is part of the Crowne. I simply did not leave the hotel for dinner, as the service and food provided at the restaurant was fantastic. One of the senior members of staff who worked at the restaurant (I forget her name, but she works every week night), from day 1 would always offer me a newspaper to read, as she could see that I was on a business trip and would be dining alone. From the 2nd night onwards, I would always be quickly served (even if the restaurant was very busy), and not once was my glass of water empty during my whole dining experience. I've read some reviews indicating the softness of the pillows at this hotel. After my first night, I simply left a note on the table asking housekeeping to find me some firmer pillows. When I arrived at the hotel from work in the afternoon, housekeeping had left me two extra pillows, and a note asking me to call them if they were not suitable for my comfort. If you're unhappy with anything about this hotel, simply ask, as the staff are always willing to assist. For corporate customers who want somewhere convenient to stay, and also appreciate great service, I would highly recommend the Crowne. My only complaint I became lazy in trying to look for new restaurants to try, as the service at the Crowne was extremely hard to compete with. I know this review seems a little over the top. However, I was genuinely impressed by this hotel. Whenever I book a hotel, I always look at reviews, so I hope this helped in your decision.
This was a Fab hotel, I got in touch prior to arriving with the wwd group and asked for an upgrade due to my disabilities and also as a surprise for my guy. Well Sam the Manager gave me discount and when we arrived it was first class room overlooking the harbour. Then when the group had arrived I found some were actually in upgraded rooms even tho Sam stated that the contract with wwd didnt allow for this. So I did say I was dumbfounded with my charge and guess what ???? It was refunded immediately and Sam explained he did not realise how big our group would be and it wasnt right I was charged, previous to our arrival one of our friends and co workers had some awful tragic news, out of respect I wont go into detail but it was all over Australian news and on the papers which were in the lobby I explained the gentleman was coming back on tour and could they not put papers out and they once gain immediately took them away and also placed a beautiful yellow bouquet in honour on the day it seems whole of Australia took time out to do the same.. This hotel is fab in a great location for everyrhing newcastle has to offer and so near beautiful beaches ...... Thankyou Crowne and Sam for sensitivity and fantastic customer service x
The team and I were here for two weeks. Excellent accommodation and the staff was absolutely superb. Hands down one of the best venues for us. Being able to walk to town and wharf foodie and beverage places was great. Convenient to all Newcastle has to offer and by my count that is a lot! We'll be back and this is where we will stay!
