More than just food; it is an experience. Everything was perfect, and our hosts were amazing as their food and service.

Sylvana and Janusz served an exceptional and genuine German meal tonight for our party of six. Everyone raved about their soups (our group had three: carrot, onion and cabbage). Beef rouladen; beef stroganoff with spaetzle; veal and chicken schnitzels were excellent entrees, and the sides were nice complements—especially the potato dumplings. The desserts—apple strudel, a marzipan cake, Black Forest cake, and a chocolate mousse cake were a perfect end to the meal. I almost hesitate to write this because the three tables at this private restaurant are almost always booked well in advance, and it’s now our group’s favorite area restaurant. Thanks Sylvana and Janusz for a wonderful—und echte Deutsche—family dining experience! Kid-friendliness: The property backs up to woods and a pond, and has a miniature windmill and a water fountain outside. It was a nice pre-meal “adventure” for our 4 year old as suggested by our hosts

Absolutely the best German food I have ever had...everything was amazing!..the hosts treated us like old freinds... a very unique dining experience ..looking forward to next time..

Janus and his wife were great hosts and very personable. Food was very very tasty in a very grandma style setting. The bread, German sourdough was delicious. Definitely recommend the snitzel and the potato salad! The antique stor where the restaurant is located at is great too. Will definitely come back with a larger crowd.

A restaurant full of history.Incredibly fun to walk through antique shop, fascinating treasures, interesting artwork, each room had a unique flavor and ambiance.Now, the food...Great authentic German cuisine experience. Pretzel-like bread was especially delicious. Great variety of different schnitzel and German meats. Didn't order and beer, but many different options available. Fresh and made right there in the adjoining kitchen to dining area. Feels intimate and as if you're enjoying a home cooked meal.Special recognition to the experience and atmosphere. Owners are great hosts and make you feel like family.
