I am originally from compton, but now I am living in north oc so that this place is a mission from my house. it is hard to get a good tamale in oc. I was about 15 minutes in the snake. I ordered 30 chicken bags, 20 bark meats and 10 cheese for my family to share for my 36th birthday. I was under $100 by the way. the staff was very friendly and attentive. I'm black, so sometimes there's a language barrier. the kitchen was in the lookout and everyone worked hard, the kitchen was clean and well maintained. I enjoyed the scenic atmosphere that had a nice shrine to pancho villa. the tamales were finished in less than 5 minutes. piping hot, 3 bags full. one of the first things I have appreciated is the presentation of the fools. they were packed in paper that displayed the names on them. I've never seen that before. the tamales were freshly produced and so they are produced daily, I could still taste the quality. the meat-masa ratio was at point. I have a lot of meat in my fool. the cattle were my favorites, but the chicken wasn't far behind me double back for this week safe. it's not so far that it's not worth it. here is a gem! , they support this business safely . I am proud that these places are still there. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the terrible parking lot. the tamales are a1 and they can get them every day. not only during Christmas.
My family and I have been looking for a quality and reliable place to buy tamales from, whether it be from a shop or even from a simple abuelita selling them at the corner of a stop. This place is quite literally the best tamales I've had. We were recommended it by my father's coworker and this really did tick all the boxes for quality tamales. The tamales de elote were perfectly sweet, the tamales de puerco were perfectly spicy, and the champurrado was hot and smooth. Buying the dozen is also quite a deal! Definitely recommend.
I love the corn tamales... Cheese r good too .. Parking does suck. I go in the am with some1 so i can run in and get our batch while they wait in the car. Tamales are $1.35.. U walk in order n u get them in a bag thats all
Free street parking is available at this tamalería, which offers the best tamales in all of Los Angeles. While many places serve good-tasting tamales, these are the only ones that I can enjoy without any second thoughts. They taste fresh, have a homemade quality, and are absolutely delicious. Trust me, you won’t regret experiencing their wonderful flavors. Additionally, there’s free private parking, with someone on-site to keep an eye on your vehicle. The staff is incredibly polite and respectful, making for an enjoyable dining experience.
I've tried food from various places and people throughout LA, but these guys are really good—definitely among my top picks for takeout. The only downside is the parking situation. It's not too much of a hassle to park a little further away and just pick up the food, or if you have a friend with you, they can quickly grab it while you wait. With the wide variety of options they offer, I feel like there's something for everyone to enjoy, especially with a nice cup of coffee.
