Bludso's BBQ - Compton

Best BBQ I had while in Cali. The owner was so friendly, his staff funny and helpful. I was sad upon my return to find it had closed.

I love bludso! 10 of 5 stars. does that make sense? after they have refined at bludso, it will. the greatest bbq I had in my life. Everything here was so good I felt like I was in the flesh sky. no need to get into the details as they can read all about it in other reviews, so I offer the following random comments: bludso is a family-run and operated place. the owner, kevin bludso, is a nice and warm man. the bbq was so crazy’ good I asked him if I could give him a hug after my lunch. he is committed to happiness. there are two sorts of BBQ sauce: mild and spicy. I went for the spicy and it was smooth, smokey and tasteful. the interplay of sweet and spicy was there. her braut is super tender and melts in her mouth. I said kevin that the texture corresponds to the Galbi-Jjim, these are Korean braided short ribs that are shimmered for up to 4 hours. he was very happy. all the bark hot left are not sweat. eat it and you will be enlightened. they offer daily lunch specialties. for about 6 they can get the meat of the day 1 next to the court. for a person who hates mac ’n cheese (they really,) I was a bludso converter. they loved all their dishes, especially their greens cooked with smoked truthahn, but the pasta dish was exceptional. the service cannot be beaten. they step up and talk to them in a round with the most friendly people they treat like family. they are more than to serve them and send them away. the family bludso chats cheerfully with them, asks where they are from when they enjoy their food, etc....as if we do this one please by doing this! they have a parking space that only attracts customers. if you cannot find a place, you should not have a problem finding parking along long beach blvd; there are many free 2 hours parking zones. everyone knows that the city compton has an unfortunate call. it is not disneyland, but the restaurant location is not bad. when they are from the oc, it looks like a typical crossing in the city santa ana – somehow old and busy, but clean and tidy. put their fears aside and get them hungry for compton for some goouood eating.

What a nightmare...!!!!!!!!! We waited 4 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today to order 3 dinners....... Ridiculous!!!! One would think that a BBQ restaurant on the 4th. July would be ready to handle the rush of one of the business days in their industry!!!! I was the third person trying to order three dinners at 12:30. If the manager STOP orders two people before me... He stopped his employees from taking our orders to fill unpaid phone orders. We all (50 people) waited and watched him and his staff package and fill pre-orders for over 4 hours!!!!!! We constantly asked the manager and the staff if they were taking orders.... Just say “we don’t know”..... It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo badly managed and rude employees.... I will not be back....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It must have been at least 175 to 200 customers running away... While they filled orders that were not paid.... Finally, after the long wait, they decided to bring the water and soda line at 4:30. They began to resume orders at 4:45. Just to say that you can order and be charged for what you want, but we cannot promise that you will get it.... What??? Real!!!!!!!!! They offered us a discount on the food, the SHOULD HAVE BEEN FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We finally got our order home and it is WRONG!!!!!!!!! GOOD GRIEF!!!!!! My first time in this restaurant and I'm really disappointed! The food was not so great and I won't be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
