Sand and dirt mixed into the seafood dish news flash, clean your mussels and pre soak/wash your clams extremely loud , tables very close to each other, took 24 mins to get our drinks and over an hour from ordering to food on our table. Whatever has happened to this once gem I have no clue but it’s apparent they don’t care about quality anymore yet still charge like they do.
We did not feel like cooking dinner and an Italian meal sounded good so we went to Toscano’s. It was a Tuesday night so we did not make a reservation and while fairly busy we got a table for two. I started with a tuna and octopus cold plate which was very good, then I had the flat iron steak which was cooked to perfection. My wife had the tuna wrapped with prosciutto which she really enjoyed. A nice bottle of Chianti went well with the meal. We shared desert. Great friendly service along with good food made it a great night.
We frequent Toscanos often as we always get a really great meal. It's hard to pick one favourite but the pea carbonara, prawn carbonara are our favourite pasta dishes. All homemade pasta which is tender and perfectly cooked. The pecan chicken and the flank steak are favourite entrees. And so many delicious starters. Bonus that you don't see at most restaurants hot plates. They plate hot food on hot plates and it makes a big difference! We have had great service there and have never been disappointed.
Fine dinning in Comox. Highly recommend the steelhead trout and mussels with linguini. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Reservations were easy, the servers were friendly and helpful, and the food was AMAZING. We ordered the traditional ceaser salad, tuna and octopus try it! It has such great flavours for us not chewy) Prawn carbonara, and the Bolognese pasta dishes . Overall we had a great dinner .
