The Plaza - Columbus

The menu at this restaurant has been significantly reduced compared to before. While the tomato bisque was tasty, it was served lukewarm. The house vinaigrette salad dressing was overly sweet. The Summer pasta Primavera lacked flavor and the vegetables were undercooked, certainly not roasted. An inexperienced server brought our check while we were still eating our salads, even though our main dishes had not yet been served. A more experienced server later asked about our meal and upon hearing our feedback about the lack of taste, promptly removed it from our bill. The service from knowledgeable staff was good, but overall, the food is not worth returning for.

We've been going to the Plaza Restaurant for a while before shows at the Ohio Theater. You can't beat the convience of this location for that, but we were really disappointed this trip. There didn't seem to be a waiter, just the hostest and bartender that took care of everyone. The service was poor. The chicken was chewy. The pasta was mediocre. With the prices we paid, it should have been excellent. We already made reservations elsewhere for the next show.

Vey disappointing. The restaurant had no draft beer, no cocktails, short on wait staff and were out of items listed on the menu. This reservation was for a saturday evening Excuse given was that there were major events in Columbus that ended a week previously , yet the facility had not re-stocked essential items. The food and beverage deliveries would be on Monday. BIG UNSAT!

Not the dining experience we were looking for! We were hoping to be able to be seated in the lovely,black,table clothed dining room overlooking the State Capitol, but instead we had to sit in a make-shift area in the bar .Paper menu limited items. No Specials. Short Staffed. Bar Tender serving along with one staffer. Bar drinks were well made and expensive. Cocktail sauce with the shrimp cocktail had turned to gelatin. It is a convenient location to a Theatre Venue, but it is evident this Marriott Restaurant is lacking management and Staff.

While I would have liked the prices to be a little lower, the food was tasty, and the service was efficient and friendly. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, and our group of groomsmen was probably the most energetic table there. We had to wait a bit for some takeout for my wife, but she also enjoyed her meal back in the hotel room.
