Lasalle’s Southern Kitchen And

Our group was running about five minutes late, so we called ahead to let the restaurant know we would be there soon. Unfortunately, we had to leave a message, and when we arrived, we found signs indicating that the restaurant was closed. The door was locked, and it was dark inside. As a result, we ended up taking our party to a different location. There was no communication about the restaurant's closure. I would recommend that OpenTable reach out to the owners, as it seems they are still accepting reservations. Additionally, we had to provide our credit card for the reservation.

The restaurant could use a thorough cleaning and some new decor. While we weren't expecting a gourmet dining experience, we did hope for something more in line with the images presented on the website. It's situated on the first floor of a parking garage, which is inconvenient since there’s no parking available for customers. The entire place felt sticky and in need of a good scrub. However, the bright spot was the friendly staff member who acted as the waiter, manager, server, and busser, as well as the food. The fried catfish and fried chicken were served hot and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the sides were mediocre and not served at the right temperature.

I made a reservation for my best friend's birthday at 2 PM, and I really appreciated the on-site parking option since downtown parking can be challenging. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I found out that they weren’t open yet. A staff member informed me that they didn’t open until 4 PM. I was left scrambling to find another restaurant at the last minute for this special occasion in a busy area on game day.

We were the first in so didn't really need the reservation but glad I made one. Clearly a popular spot for brunch... Cons: Sticky floors, limited menu and long wait after ordering (well over 30 mins. but food was good and hot, plus there was a live band.

I celebrated my 53rd. Birthday at Lasalle 's, What a hidden Treasure . We had a wonderful time..
