Cap City Fine Diner - Columbus

In the 1950s, we visited the Cap City Special. I loved the old fashion tables and chairs and felt almost at times when I sat in my mother's kitchen. I ordered Romano chicken with pasta. It was a nice portion for lunch and tasted great. My son had the braided short ribs with mash and he also enjoyed his. A tad on the expensive side, Cap City is worth it, only able to get back in time, than things just a little easier. Ciao and thank you for reading!

Had the pleasure to eat Cap City Diner on Olentangy River Road last month....WOW!!!!!! I had the grill chicken chopped salad and it was the best salad I had eaten in a very long time! First, I was uncertain that I paid so much for a salad, but decided to try it because of the good reviews I had heard. This salad was worth every penny I paid for!!! The only bad thing about it was... it was so big that I had no room for one of the GIGANTIC chocolate cakes I saw that one of the waiters came by. I will definitely go back...and get this salad again...and the next time the cake to GO!!!!

Food was great. We had the Meat Tau dinner and was very tasty. Waiting for a table was only 15 minutes. The waitress was very pleasant and efficient. Menu prices are very affordable. Can't wait to go back.

My wife and I stopped in Cap City last week. We had high expectations due to references from friends. We were really surprised. The food is oversized. Our server, Todd, was excellent to say the least. While prices are slightly higher than some other restaurants, the food is excellent. Make a reservation or go at 16:00 to hit the crowd. I can't say anything negative about Cap City. You should just go! The portions are very generous and you can share some meals. The meat store is great, but has barbaque sauce on it. It has a little. You can replace brown engraving for a mild taste. Todd also suggested the fish and chips and the encrusted chicken breast. I'll try the next time. They looked very good. Do a favor. Next time you want a good meal, try Cap City on Olentangy. You're not sorry.

The food and service are excellent! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming!
