Wade's Cafe - Colorado Springs

Not sure what happened to this place but breakfast today was the worst experience. The eggs in the photo is what an omelete looks like from here. When i got home after picking up the online order, i realized we did not get the side of sausage and got pecan pancakes instead of regular pancakes. I called Wade's cafe and the man working said that if i could come back he would fix the order. I went back and got regular pancakes and the sausage patty. The sausage patty was wrapped in foil that looked like it was previously used for something else. See photos.

Love love this place, tried other breakfast joints and the portions are always so small, tried mother muffs and was horrified what they got for the little food you get... here at Wades, my chicken fried steak was under $12! My girl got the hash and swallowed the toast for mini pancakes, $9.49 Wow!! Steal of a price and they have a reward program and I get 5$ discount in my email all the time so this is even sweeter!! Look at the pictures, I have a Smuckers-Jully package so you can see the size of the plate... I'll be back every Sunday!

Coffee was good and plentiful as they left a carafe on the table. Orange juice has pulp. Fast service! Biscuits were soft and engraving was perfectly spiced. Hashbrowns were perfectly cooked and eggs made to order. Kids pancakes were a treat! Strawberry topping and delicious whipped cream. The side of the fruit was strawberries and blueberries. Waffle was fluffy, but crisp. Turkish sausage is also available. Plenty of food and good prices!

This place was a landmark in the Colorado Springs area as Racines after Denver, except its location has changed differently from Racines and they have NOT parking, lol. There was and is a standing line during the busy hours, but that tells you a lot. They come out and call names. You could use some benches to keep people sitting and waiting outside. I think I understand why they are not afraid of the homeless with them or theft, but it would have been nice. Also I think this place would rock when open around the clock like a Knife, Spoon, Fork local Diner would, but it's her show. Everything was excellent. The 20-minute waiting period lasted 22 minutes. There are no reservations available. The waiting staff and the hostess were friendly, fast, respectful, clean and knowledgeable. The indoor pool was clean, but limited with 2 toilets, 1 washbasin. The food was great! Homemade maple syrup as homemade as you would expect without maple in the backyard, Lol. I was filled and took a to-go box. The prices were also great. 35.00 for the 3 of us, think (without posting my tip of 15.00), and we ate breakfast plate. Still well ran and loved by the community!

My friend and I went to eat at Wade's Cafe and he got the $11.99 chicken fried steak and hashbrowns and toast, sunny side up and I got the breakfast hash, for $9.49 under $10. There was a lot of food for the price. You have to try.
