Subway - Colorado Springs

This is my favorite hidden gem in Colorado Springs. Sheila and the team are always welcoming. My go-to sandwich is the six-inch tuna on multigrain, topped with bacon and shredded cheese, and then toasted. For some reason, it tastes even better that way.

I haven't visited the subway in a while, but I used to go regularly, especially to this location. This afternoon, I took my daughter there around 2:00 PM. The place was quite busy for that time of day. The staff was very friendly. The sandwich I ordered seemed to have more veggies compared to my previous experiences. My daughter had no complaints about her meal. I paid $5.51 for a 6-inch sandwich with pumpkin.

The subway has increased prices while less food. After arriving at our hotel we unpacked sandwiches when my husband and I noticed that the bread was much tighter, it was probably still a foot long, but so much tighter. Otherwise it was delicious... just felt cheated.

12/19 1:00pm Walked into the store and Ashley was working all by herself with about 8 customers. I know how frustrating it can be to work alone when you see a line forming, but she maintained a good mood and was still greeting everyone as they walked in. A few minutes later, another worker walked in, and jumped right in to help! They worked very well as a team and I was very satisfied! Also I think the second workers name was Sheela, but I can't remember.

The staff did not change their gloves between orders, even after using the register. Additionally, their method of cleaning knives was simply to wipe them off, without using a second knife. This is concerning, especially for those with allergies, as food from a previous customer's sandwich could pose a serious risk.
