My wife visits Albertacos once a week for her breakfast Burritos. They're their addiction! The generous portion size for $7 bacon, potatoes, cheese making this their preferred breakfast Burrito of choice in Colorado Springs. The tortilla is also not a slouch and keeps well with all fillings. I can easily say this is my favorite place to get tacos. Just look at yourself. I ordered 4 crispy chicken tacos without salad (only chicken and cheese) and they always flood the tacos with chicken cheese. This is perfect and her chicken is well seasoned. Another thing that is massively underestimated is that its crispy taco shells NOT BREAK. Your taco bowls can keep all the food up and not break or get soggy. This makes it to eat tacos much more pleasant when the bowl not only “break” on the first bite. The Carne Asada Nachos are difficult to hand over to the Carne Asada, but the cheese could have been a little more abundant. But if I had a choice, I would rather have more Carne Asada than cheese. The Carne Asada had great taste and texture. The tortilla chips are very good and mimics their hard corn taco peel in taste. I did not point out that they always give you tons of salsa (2 different types) with your food, which is a beautiful note. Our whole food was ordered by the drive thru and it survived the short drive home. The line sometimes takes something, but they always make your order fresh from our years of experience. We had NIE cold food and they never forgot a duck. Overall, if you were not in Albertacos, you need to fix that especially when tacos and breakfast are burritos what you are looking for.
On a Friday night that was kind of busy, but through the line pretty fast. Lady at the window was nice and the food was delicious
I may be a little spoiled with good Mexican food at this point, which is impacting my review here. I will say that the restaurant was clean and the staff was polite and helpful to interact with. The food was OK. Better than typical Taco Bell or something like that, but the rolled tacos were a little dry and the Carne asada burrito was definitely lacking in beans and rice, etc. I probably wouldn't eat here again, but I wouldn't be upset if I ended up having to for some reason in the future.
The cheese enchiladas were cold. And not left out to long after being cooked-cold... as in never really cooked- cold. Even the cheese on top had never reached a melting temperature.
Stop playing! Great place. Authentic to max. What I didn't show was my Colorado Burrito because I shut it down. Super friendly staff too.
