The Human Bean - College Place

Zero stars! This place is extremely unsanitary! We found a bug in our coffee. I wanted to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt, especially since the reviews are mostly negative, but the older woman working there (I believe she's the manager, Chelsea) is only friendly to certain customers. It's common knowledge that you shouldn't go here if you want your coffee quickly, as the staff spends too much time gossiping at the window. After this disgusting experience, I will never return. I even tried to reach out to the owner but couldn't get through. It's time for health and sanitation officials to take action. This is unacceptable. I've felt nauseous all day just thinking about it.

Eventually, I noticed something concerning. The barista uses the same steaming pitcher for every drink. It was clear that they were waiting to reuse it instead of having multiple pitchers available. I strongly urge them to rethink this practice, as it feels quite unsanitary. This simple change could improve not only the quality of the drinks but also the overall experience for customers.

The staff were rude and laughed, causing an issue for my mother and me.

Whenever I'm in Walla Walla, I always make a stop for coffee. Unfortunately, my recent visits have been quite frustrating, as the service has been slow and the baristas seem a bit disorganized. Today, I was asked about my order multiple times, which consisted of just two drinks, one of them being a cold brew. The baristas were very animated with each other, which likely contributed to the distractions. It’s puzzling that it took 20 minutes to get my drinks when there was only one car ahead of me. While the coffee was good, I don't think I'll be returning.

The taste of their drinks appears to vary significantly. I’ve had more disappointing experiences than satisfying ones.
