The Atlas - College Place

The baristas here really know what they're doing. This is the best coffee you'll find in Walla Walla, and the atmosphere is laid back and friendly.Edit: July 2021, just saw people trying to walk in Since it’s a student run shop, they close during the summers ?

Today was my first visit to The Atlas, and I was truly impressed by the atmosphere. The coffee was outstanding as well. I graduated in 2005, and if The Atlas had been around back then, I would have spent all my time there—it's such a fantastic spot for students, WWU, and the entire community. I even heard that some teachers from Davis Elementary pop in for coffee, which is really cool! While I was waiting in line, I unexpectedly ran into an old friend, Professor Kirt Onthank. Thank you for a wonderful experience! I moved back to Walla Walla in 2016 and should have come here sooner, but I’m definitely planning to be a regular now. I’ll bring my wife and spread the word about The Atlas to everyone I know. Great job!

I had a delightful experience at Atlas, where I loved seeing all the students immersed in their studies. They've transformed the coffee shop into a warm and inviting space perfect for studying. There's also a lovely outdoor area for those warm days! I appreciate their creativity with seasonal and new drinks, offering a great selection. The baristas are incredibly friendly too. If you visit in the mornings, you're more likely to find a table since many students tend to come in the afternoons and evenings. As for parking, there's campus parking nearby, but I'm unsure if it's available for non-students. We ended up parking down the street and walking, which turned out to be really pleasant.
