The Waubic - Coldwater

Another fabulous meal at The Waubic. Food is excellent and portions generous. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. Do miss put on this great experience on the Severn River.

Had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant for the second time. Very nice boat ride from Sparrow Lake . Do not be surprised that you will have to wait for a seat,but it will be worth it. Staff is wonderful and the fish and chips are hot and fresh . I would highly recommend it . I also really appreciated that the small children where served first a real bonus.

The Waubic is a gem on the Severn River. Two locks up from Georgian Bay, it sits a short distance from Big Chute. We were impressed by the docks, outdoor seating, and general upkeep of the restaurant. Had the fish and chips and enjoyed a cold beer. What a pleasant way to spend an afternoon! The service is warm and welcoming and a journey inside the restaurant yields a bit of local history. The preserved canoes in particular are impressive. Thank you for such a relaxed afternoon.

We passed by this place on our trip last year and couldn't wait to give it a try. After docking, we stayed for lunch then dinner (nachos were delicious) and docked here overnight. Great crowd including the dogs that are here to greet you. Many of the guests will be staying tonight for the live music. We have to head out but to our next honeymoon destination but I'm sure tonight will be amazing at The Waubic!

Anyone who's been here can easily tell you this is probably the best boat only access restaurant on the entire canal.I'm not sure if the same owners/family members are running it but I used to be a regular that they got to know quite well. I have been to it for a few years but I will always remember and go of I'm boating that section of the canal.You WILL NOT be Disappointed if you go.
