Great Blue Heron - Cold Spring

Fantastic food! Fast service! We decided to give this place a try on a whim, and we were thoroughly impressed! The salad bar is extensive and full of options! Really delicious food!

The food was quite good, but nothing really stood out as exceptional. The restaurant has a classic supper club vibe, complete with a salad bar and tablecloths. It does have an older feel to it.

I went with my father to Great Blue Heron to try the Pasta Bar night. I was happy with my meal at Blue Heron. The Pasta Bar had many options to choose from and they have several great appetizers. The staff is friendly and attentive. I'd say the atmosphere is a little dated, but it wasn't unpleasant to be in. Overall had a good night at the Great Blue Heron.

In addition to the meal, they provided our dessert table, featuring a variety of brownies and bars. I only tried the brownie, which was scrumptious, but I've heard great things about the bars as well. They handled our appetizers and even set up a wonderful coffee bar. Paul, the catering manager, was incredibly professional and a pleasure to work with. He clearly knows his stuff and takes great pride in his work, which put my mind at ease on the big day— I had no worries about the food; I knew Paul had everything under control. I also appreciated that the family-style service at the main table meant we didn't have to wait in the buffet line. All the staff were friendly and professional. I highly recommend Great Blue Heron Catering for any wedding or event!
