Star Of India - Saint Cloud

This place is exceptional. Really bizarre finding such a gem up in st cloud of all places. This place has some of the best food ever! Everything was fresh and amazing and cooked perfectly. The staff was amazing, this place is a must go!

We got a late start on lunch Friday afternoon and were still warmly welcomed into the business an hour before they closed. The employees were very kind and the tables were clean and had paper tablecloths on them. I feel this is a superior way to ensure cleanliness. I was so tempted to order a Lassi, but I wanted to make sure we left before their closing time, so we stuck with water and food. I did this of my own volition and not because I felt pressure from the staff. I ordered the Beef Josh to go and the Lamb Boti Kabab as lunch. Both dishes were ordered as extra spicy and they didn't disappoint! This is the flavor I was missing so much. Great traditional flavors with generous portions and delicious sauces. Definitely felt like heaven. I was happy to see that the to go containers were recyclable and the portions were similar to the lunch I had, so worth the money. Everyone was so polite and fast, we made it out just before closing time. Looking forward to visiting again in the future!

Campy and dated interior with friendly service and delightful Indian music. We did not care for the paper table covers. This is our first visit and we always try the Chicken Tikka Masala with Naan. It was missing a certain spice and was a little too much tomato taste. The chicken pieces were very good. The Naan (bread) was fantastic. Good chicken, beef and vegetarian options plus a cute kid's menu. We might go back someday when we are visiting St. Cloud.

The first was the lamb vindaloo. The lamb was so tender and was not gamey at all. I order the spiciest level but was not spicy enough for me. I would say it is American spicy and not Asian spicy. The star bread was perfect. It is stuffed naan bread with pieces of shredded chicken in it. The last dish was a chicken curry. Huge chunks of chicken and perfect taste. Overall, the service was awesome and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.

Beautifully presented dishes! Flavorful and generous portions. Reasonably priced.
