Tasty Waves Cantina - Cocles Costa Rica

Wonferful place, amazing staff and very good food! Playa Cocles is nice also and Tasty Waves is definitely a must go! On Tuesday's, special discount for tacos. Even vegan ones! Other nights with live music, karaoke, party and easy going people. Perfect!

We stayed in Puerto Viejo for a month and after trying out a handful of bars around town, Tasty Waves became the go to place when we wanted good food and drinks and great entertainment. The staff is incredible friendly, the food is great and the prices are the best in town, seriously. They always have something fun going on, trivia, karaoke, live music, etc... it's just a lot of fun with good people, can't beat it. The owner, Bryton, is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, and he's created a friendly environment with an awesome staff that makes you feel like a local from day 1. I would highly recommend checking this place out, whether you're looking for a late night party, a quick bite to eat or just a few happy hour drinks, I don't think you will be disappointed!!

Welcoming and fun atmosphere coupled with great tacos. Michael's drinks were on point and Sarah was a great bartender and extremely knowledgeable when it came to the local wildlife. We loved this place so much we went to trivia night, karaoke night, and movie night. The place just had very cool vibe to it and the owner was also very nice. This was our 4th time to Puerto Viejo and we're actually thinking about moving down here for a while. Good times.

By far our favorite place in the two weeks we’ve been here. Food is delicious and service is outstanding. Thank you so much for making our daughter’s 18th birthday dinner spectacular. Pura Vida!
