Service poor often-do not expect someone to come to table and ask if you would like water. Family members seem to work hard and sometimes look frustrated as does Tony at times. He can be rude also. Often the chicken in the dishes is yellow and hardened. I live in Cochrane and chose not to eat here any longer.
I can be really brief here. We ordered Beef Sate Noodle soup or Pho. They do not call it Pho on the menu. and it's really really not! $9.95 and we were served a bowl with weak beef broth, noodles, a touch of Chilli oil and some chopped green onion floating on top. The beef slices, I will say, we're ample and good quality. What we were NOT served with or in our Sate soup (even after we asked) was; lime wedges, bean sprouts, basil of any kind, peanuts or Sate Sauce/flavouring. Beef slices soup with poor flavour. We gotBeef Sate Soup (Pho.) An epic fail!I can tolerate variety, but this was just cheeping out and not providing a fish that resembled what was ordered. This is one Vietnamese Restaurant that I would give a big pass.
We've been going to Pho Anh for quite some time and we really enjoy it. Tony (the owner) is a delightful man who always remembers his guests. Often I will call on the way home and place an order for pickup and he makes sure it is ready when we arrive. Prices are good and the food is fresh and delicious.
The aromas and quality are incredible in this little gem. recommend the curry soup and spring rolls. I was told that the rinderpho and chickenpho were also delicious from the family.
