Goldfields Cafe - Coarsegold

Generous portions of delicious food at a great value. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and rustic.

The food at this restaurant is tasty and served in generous portions. The staff is generally friendly, though some could benefit from better cleanliness. We have visited multiple times and have always been promptly and courteously seated. On one occasion, a patron fell in the restaurant and a busser quickly offered assistance.

Noh-O Cafe, formerly known as Goldsfield, left a lot to be desired during our recent visit. Despite being seated promptly, it took 30 minutes for our water to arrive, and another 40 minutes for our food to start coming out. The salmon was overcooked, likely due to being rushed under the broiler. When we inquired about the delay, our waitress simply stated that the kitchen was behind, despite other tables receiving their orders before us. The service was lacking as our waitress did not check on us after taking our order and only did so after we complained. While the ambiance was pleasant, the overall experience was disappointing. We hope for better service in the future. A one-star rating is given solely for the food eventually being served.

The food was much better before the cafe changed its name. You used to want to come back every time, but now the quality of the food just isn't the same. I won't be returning. The service, dining experience, and atmosphere all received a rating of 1.
